Fishing in the Slovak Paradise

Fishing is allowed in Slovenský raj in the rivers Veľká Biela Voda, Hornád and Hnilec and in the water reservoir Palcmanská Maša (reservoir Dedinky). These species are present: Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Grayling, Chondrostoma Nassus, Dace, Roach, Gudgeon, Carpathian Barbel.

Fishing permission can be obtained in the AKVA Praktik shop in Spišská Nová Ves and in the Hotel Čingov in Slovenský raj.

In the trout waters is allowed to catch no more than four pieces of salmon species including Chondostoma Nassus or four pieces of Dace, Barbel or their combination. Catching of four pieces of these fish means end of the fishing day. The amount of other fish allowed to be caought is restricted by the weight of 5 kg.

The largest reservoir in the area of Slovenský raj, created on the upper river Hnilec, in the wedge shaped valley under the south rocky scarps of Geravy.
